We can have a better life with a daily 1% improvement in our life we can do a great transformation in our life. Just start taking corrective action from today itself. Our habits play a very important role in making our lives it depends on us which pattern we choose. Better if we go systematically because it is a proven tool to get success in life.
This is a wonderful book which I read about 3 years back. We need to develop wonderful habits so that we can best our efforts with systematic working on our goals. The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, first published in 1989, is a business and self-help book written by Stephen R. Covey.
Covey presents an approach to being effective in attaining goals by aligning oneself to what he calls “true north” principles based on a character ethic that he presents as universal and timeless. This book sold more than 25 million books & people loved it too much.
I have attended one Seminar also on this book detailing. It is a really great personality-developing book. The “Circles of Control, Influence and Concern” model reminds you that: If you cannot control it, do not get stressed about it. If you cannot influence it, do not get upset about it. Focus on what you can change, not on what you cannot. Sometimes we take unnecessary worry factors into our life. We can not do except get negativity
- The 7 habits of effective people
- Habit 1: Be Proactive: we can do what we like. We need to be more proactive in our actions to become control our desired results. We need to plan in advance homework to get to the desired level. We all depend on each other. Many people are reactive (they allow external circumstances to dictate their behavior), instead of proactive (they do not want to take responsibility).
- Some people play with excuses & blame games. You need to take the whole responsibility. You can be a more effective person by focusing on the things that you can actually do something about (your Circle of Influence) and not concern yourself with things you can’t change or influence.
- 2: Begin With the End in Mind
We need to plan any task or project for keeping insight. We can do fully detailed planning for any project so that it is viable and in congruence with the requirement of the project. Planning will play a very important role while completing desired call target dates.
As I have worked 41 years in the textile industry, we were planning by keeping all the points in mind. We planned always for the position of this technology after 10 years 15 years and 20 years. We have to update machinery from time to time so that we can get the best production and quality with the lowest cost of production.
We need to plan everything before the departure office ship to any particular destination. We cannot move to the required place if proper managers and the captain are not a company with clarity on where to go. Because we cannot say during poor results that we have left this thing during project time. We also need to see that the current technology which we are going with should not be obsolete.
We need to plan for all the resources for giving wonderful production and quality right start of Raw Materials, machines, workforce, staff & quality analysis in running, and off-line checking. All these things are considered for branding the product and same time company gets the brand in the market. People know like Adidas, jockey, and Reliance are products of reputed companies. The brand takes care of customers as the top priority.
These days technology has gained momentum & a lot of discussions going on regarding web 3.0, Metaverse, NFT & Crypto with blockchain technology. Metaverse is D virtual effect of various sectors. The day is not far and we will be getting fast technology on the anvil with the help of artificial intelligence to give comfort level t people. This means the paradigm is going to shift from normal high-speed to Metaverse technology.
- Habit 3: Put First Things First.
We need to see the priority of operations in our plan so that there is no delay in our execution. We need to do systematic planning process-wise so that we can get totally streamlined process for giving wonderful results. We can plan for a TO DO LIST or POMODORO SCHEME to plan with a total focus on the first & first-out system for the flow of material. We will be doing all this with our great progress plan with a timeline.
We have to adopt the principle of the process we cannot take shortcuts. As we see in case of a child is born then the child starts turning over then he sets up then starts crawling and finally starts walking the first step and then running on both strong feet. Similarly, we have to see how we can make our plan stepwise. We can not skip any step as it will totally sabotage the systematic approach set by God.
We need to be the best in each stage. Then we can have the best advantage of our RICH mindset. A positive & grateful attitude plays here wonderful role in our life for great & successful life.
We utilize the above quadrant for making use of 3rd habit to decide the priority schedule of the events to be taken care of. We can prioritize well with this quadrant.
- Habit 4: Think Win-Win
We need to see a win-win situation for everyone in any workplace. Even if it may be a case of a husband & wife relationship. A win-win relationship is a must in every situation. We cannot disrespect anyone it may be workplace business or family matters. We need to stick to the promises we are making then we need to understand others by listening to their version. This will help in getting a clear picture of the planet. We should respect humans’ very small points also.
We also need to maintain personal integrity so that we are considered the best-behaved person and take care of everyone. 7 habits of highly effective people have given me great tips for a superb life.
Let us take the case of children’s education. They need to respect their teachers and time management should be their main tool. The more they become familiar with the subject more will be easy to get the proper plan in such a way that it is carried out in a wonderful atmosphere. It will be giving win-win situation for both sides.
Similarly, we can see that in any agreements or official matters of the organization win-win situation will give you an always cordial atmosphere. It is going to help you to get the best production with wonderful quality results. You will be able to make your great brand which will be loved by all customers of that particular product. People give you money for your brand and quality product. Both parties have win-win thinking which is very good for any setup.
- Habit 5.Commitment/ Understanding:
To understand your total project status by going into the details of everything. We will be listening thoroughly to all concerned. You will have to be a great listener so that nobody can blame the game. We need to see things by going into the shoes of the speaker of the subject we have to understand them on Intellectual and emotional grounds. A thorough understanding of the facts by both parties is a must to come to a conclusion for the next stage.
Our total communication should have some proper background breakdown like what we say and how it sounds from our side and then what the body language of everyone has the main impact on discussions.
Just recall any bonus meeting agreement meeting in your organization. You will see that both parties sit in a very cordial atmosphere if the task is to be completed within the time frame. During the discussion, everyone respects another party.
As we see in the clubhouse app also these days 99.9% of cases mutual understanding and respect are a must. This gives a very cordial atmosphere for learning to unlearn and relearn. People talk so beautifully from their hearts that it appeals to everyone. The clubhouse app is going very strong as on date on social media. Lots of collaborations and negotiations are going on day to day basis.
- Habit 6: Synergize

When people synergize then they respect each other and listen to each other very well. This helps in a wonderful atmosphere making things happen. Thoughts become things and everything is going in its own way in a successful manner.
When any sports or organizational function is taking place then see how people synergize with each other. Also, observe how everything is going on the desired result side. Every action of each and every member is very positive. This positive attitude creates a very good atmosphere in every place. In our homes also just see how a good family atmosphere is created by respecting the sentiments of each member.
- Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw
We need to sharpen our skills while going from one task to another. We need to sharpen our bodies also. We can do it in a Physical way, Spiritual way, or Mental way. & Emotionally. While working continuously we get tired. We need to refresh with all 3 modes of our health. We need to love ourselves in such a way that we start loving all unconditionally. This is the best winning way of our style.
If we adopt the meditation methods in our life definitely we will be going great with ourselves & all who come to our touch. Just have good morning rituals & see the advantages in our life.
Also, see that unconditional love with all will make you a great personality. Good sleep is also best & relationship with our wife, children & all family members is a top requirement. We can bear any sort of problem in life but we will be a really great source of inspiration to all.
