It is all about the company you keep, so it is important to choose the people around you carefully. Good company can bring positive changes in your life. Even if it might be a drastic step, think again and clean your list of people, ticking off those who end up annoying you.
People have a huge impact on your life. “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with,” says American entrepreneur and motivational speaker Jim Rohn.
With this in mind, you should think about the people you’re spending time with the same way you think about what you eat and how you’re exercising.
Some people can be parasites. They suck out your happiness, energy and maybe some of your tangible resources as well. You can put spending time with them in the same category as eating nachos on the couch.
It’s widely known that one of the best ways to improve on a skill is to practice it with someone who’s better than you (think: tennis, skiing, poker, yoga, Boggle…) Yes, you will have to work harder, think faster and learn more fundamentals.
You’ll sweat and have sore muscles, but after a while, your skills will improve and, eventually, you might even be good enough to teach someone else a thing or two.
This idea of playing with someone better than you translates nicely to your personal and career successes as well, and that’s why it’s important to surround yourself with people who are winners.
I recently had the privilege of attending Summit’s LA18 in Los Angeles. For four days, I listened to keynotes by some of the top thought leaders, entrepreneurs and entertainers in the world, including Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberté,
The Grateful Dead’s Bob Weir, chef Jose Andres, Michael Ovitz, Eckhart Tolle, Gary Vaynerchuck, #MeToo pioneer Tarana Burke, and so many more.
I couldn’t help but feel inspired by all of these amazing people. By the time the conference/festival was over, I felt invigorated and filled with new ideas. I was playing with winners–listening and sharing with these brilliant minds encouraged me to step up my own game. Here are some practical steps to apply this concept to your own life.

There is a steep importance when it comes to keeping good company. What exactly is “good company?”
Growing up, I was always taught that it is better to have one good friend instead of ten fake friends.
When surrounding yourself with optimistic, positive people, it is essential to remember that the quality of them is more important than the quantity of them.
Sunder Pichai-Cockroach Theory -Don’t miss to read
A beautiful speech by Sundar Pichai – an IIT-MIT Alumnus and Global Head Google Chrome:
The cockroach theory for self development
At a restaurant, a cockroach suddenly flew from somewhere and sat on a lady.
She started screaming out of fear.
With a panic stricken face and trembling voice, she started jumping, with both her hands desperately trying to get rid of the cockroach.
Her reaction was contagious, as everyone in her group also got panicky.
The lady finally managed to push the cockroach away but …it landed on another lady in the group.
Now, it was the turn of the other lady in the group to continue the drama.
The waiter rushed forward to their rescue.
In the relay of throwing, the cockroach next fell upon the waiter.
The waiter stood firm, composed himself and observed the behavior of the cockroach on his shirt.
When he was confident enough, he grabbed it with his fingers and threw it out of the restaurant.
Sipping my coffee and watching the amusement, the antenna of my mind picked up a few thoughts and started wondering, was the cockroach responsible for their histrionic behavior?
If so, then why was the waiter not disturbed?
He handled it near to perfection, without any chaos.
It is not the cockroach, but the inability of those people to handle the disturbance caused by the cockroach, that disturbed the ladies.
I realized that, it is not the shouting of my father or my boss or my wife that disturbs me, but it’s my inability to handle the disturbances caused by their shouting that disturbs me.
It’s not the traffic jams on the road that disturbs me, but my inability to handle the disturbance caused by the traffic jam that disturbs me.
More than the problem, it’s my reaction to the problem that creates chaos in my life.
Lessons learnt from the story:
I understood, I should not react in life.
I should always respond.
The women reacted, whereas the waiter responded.
Reactions are always instinctive whereas responses are always well thought of.
A beautiful way to understand…………LIFE.
Person who is HAPPY is not because Everything is RIGHT in his Life..
He is HAPPY because his Attitude towards Everything in his Life is Right..!!!

Surrounding yourself with great company can only benefit you in the long run. According to a man named Jim Rohn, “you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.”
To an extent, I believe this wholeheartedly. If the five people you surround yourself with are positive, hardworking, motivating people, then there’s a chance you will be like that as well.
It’s wonderful to have friends, family and loved ones who support and motivate you. Sure, self-motivation is greatly respectable and can be completely successful. There’s nothing like having an extra push from those who make you a better person.
Attitude is everything in life. Our success should begin in our mind. Then everything will change in our life.
Positive attitude will scale up our success. And you will be on wrong side of we think in negative side.
