टोक्यो पैरालंपिक में भारत का बेस्ट प्रदर्शन, हाई जंप में प्रवीण कुमार ने जीता सिल्वर.

भारत के प्रवीण कुमार ने टोक्यो पैरालंपिक में इतिहास रच दिया। उन्होंने पुरुषों की टी-64 स्पर्धा के फाइनल में रजत पदक जीता।

हालांकि इस मुकाबले में प्रवीण स्वर्ण पदक जीतने से चूक गए। एक समय वह गोल्ड मेडल की रेस में थे। भारत अब तक टोक्यो पैरालंपिक में 12 पदक जीत चुका है। जिसमें दो स्वर्ण, सात रजत और तीन कांस्य पदक शामिल हैं।

India has already registered their best-ever performance at a single edition of the Paralympics, with the medal haul touching double figures for the first time in the history of India at the Paralympics in Tokyo on Tuesday.

पदक तालिका में कितने नंबर पर भारत

भारत पदक तालिका में अब 30वें स्थान पर पहुंच गया है। भारत के खाते में अभी तक दो स्वर्ण, पांच रजत और तीन कांस्य आए हैं। वहीं, चीन 132 पदकों (62 गोल्ड, 38 सिल्वर और 32 ब्रॉन्ज) के साथ शीर्ष पर बरकरार है। दूसरे व तीसरे नंबर पर क्रमशः ग्रेट ब्रिटेन (29 गोल्ड, 23 सिल्वर और 28 ब्रॉन्ज, कुल 80 पदक) और रशियन पैरालंपिक समिति (25 गोल्ड, 16 सिल्वर और 33 ब्रॉन्ज, कुल 74 पदक) हैं।

Tokyo Paralympics 2021 highlights: Sumit, Avani win gold as India win 5 medals on Day 7

It was a golden day for India at the Paralympics as they produced as many as 5 medals for the country, including two golds courtesy Avani and Sumit.

Shooter Avani Lekhara scripted history as she became the first Indian woman to win a gold medal at the Paralympics, firing her way to the top of the podium in the R-2 women’s 10m Air Rifle Standing SH1 event. Debutant Sumit smashed his own world record multiple times for the F64 class gold,

While veteran Devendra Jhajharia’s F46 category silver cemented his status of being India’s greatest para-athlete. as javelin throwers led the country’s track-and-field medal rush at the Paralympics on Monday. Another javelin thrower Sundar Singh Gurjar picked up bronze in Jhajharia’s event, while discus thrower Yogesh Kathuniya’s F56 silver ensured that India made its presence felt across the podium and through the day.

 

Wrestler-turned-javelin thrower Sumit Antil scripted history by winning gold with a world record effort of 68.55m in F64 event on Monday.

Earlier in the day, shooter Avani Lekhara also created history as she became the first Indian woman to win a gold medal at the Paralympics, firing her way to the top of the podium in the R-2 women’s 10m Air Rifle Standing SH1 event.
