In today’s world of modernization and advancements, so much is going on in the World. Nature at the same time is getting explored and exploited. The compromise is big by both humans and nature.
So to easily balance nature and human activities, many organizations have come up with some solutions but not everyone has been that successful. Here comes Dera Sacha Sauda, the biggest non-profitable organization in India whose volunteers have always proved “Insaniyat” by helping people in one or the other way. Under the supervision of Saint Dr. MSG, the inspiration has taken place.
The volunteers and all are entitled to follow 134 humanitarian works for the welfare of the society.
Here is an important welfare work, that is Mega Tree Plantation Drive.
Deforestation has always made our environment worse and tree plantation has remained only as a question to us. But the volunteers of DSS (Dera Sacha Sauda) have done it.
DSS organizes Mega Tree Plantation Campaigns on an International level every year in the birth month of Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan.
This tree plantation campaign is not only a birthday gift to him but also a gift to nature even. The campaign is started with a tree plantation by Saint Dr. MSG every year. From 2007 till 2019, 4 crores 50 lakhs 54 thousand & 505 saplings have been planted and taken care of by volunteers. Their dedication has proven it for all. Almost all samplings are perfectly fine and grown fully.
Stats of Mega Tree Plantation Drives by Dera Sacha Sauda
Year Number of Trees
Planting trees helps in improving the quality of the environment and also reduces global warming. The volunteers of Dera Sacha Sauda have planted trees and organized plantation drives under the guidance of Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan. Every year they plan these drives and plant trees everywhere which helps to reduce pollution, increase greenery and also make the environment sound.
It is the responsibility of every citizen to protect and safeguard his/her environmental surroundings. DSS volunteers have created awareness and inspired a lot of people to plant trees every year, at least one tree per month. This will greatly affect the environment.
World Records in Tree Plantation by DSS
Talking about the World Records owned by Dera Sacha Sauda by organizing these Mega Tree Plantation Drives. Dera Sacha Sauda has 3 World Records which are unbroken as of now, the first World Record own by Dera Sacha Sauda is on 15th August, exactly 2 years after the initiative of this welfare work where these volunteers of DSS comes in a record count (1,69,920) and planted 9,38,007 trees in just 1 hour. Well, that’s crazy though!!
The second World Record was created on the same day where the people of DSS planted a record number of 68,73,451 saplings in 367 locations within India in just 8 hours!
Here comes the third time, when DSS broke its own record of 2009 and made a giant World Record by planting 19,45,535 saplings in just 1 hour on 15th August 2011 and this record is unbroken as of now. This is really great, we can’t even think to plant such numbers of trees in 1 hour and they’ve done it so well.
Trees conserve our soil. This soil-conservation is very important for our corn-fields. Trees make own land fertile by their fallen leaves.
By their fallen leaves they make new soil for us. Most of the forest-products are the products from the trees in the forests, the absentee of trees will cause a lot of harm to us and our life. So the number of trees should be multiplied by the tree-plantation by us.
Tree Plantation is necessary for a stable and healthy environment. We all should plant trees regularly to save our environment from pollution, global warming, and other harmful effects.
The volunteers of DSS have created awareness among many areas for tree plantation. Under the guidance of Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan.
He has inspired a lot of people and following his teachings, DSS volunteers have planted lakhs of trees and this organization has also won world records in this very field. You should also take inspiration and pledge to plant trees regularly. People need to be serious and take proper actions on the same.
Everybody loves the views with wonderful nature & they adore the beauty of nature. So instead of destroying it, be the part of Mega Tree Plantation Campaign & beautify nature.
Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan teaches all to do a Welfare Work on every special occasion i.e. birthday, marriage anniversary, etc.
Definitely, we have to appreciate Saint Dr. MSG and the volunteers of Dera Sacha Sauda for all their 134 humanitarian works and in this complete article, I just have described their 1 Welfare Work. Kudos to these people.

Poorly-designed or badly-enforced policies to promote and incentivise tree plantations in an effort to fight climate change risk wasting public money by releasing more carbon than natural forests and destroying biodiversity, found a recent study in Nature Sustainability.
When forests grow, they absorb the carbon – a greenhouse gas whose emission is mainly responsible for climate change – from the atmosphere, functioning as a “carbon sink”.

Is planting 20 million trees possible?
Tree-planting is the process of transplanting tree seedlings, generally for forestry, land reclamation, or landscaping purpose. It differs from the transplantation of larger trees in arboriculture, and from the lower cost but slower and less reliable distribution of tree seeds. Trees contribute to their environment over long periods of time by providing oxygen, improving air quality, climate amelioration, conserving water, preserving soil, and supporting wildlife. During the process of photosynthesis, trees take in carbon dioxide and produce the oxygen we breathe.

Tree planting is an aspect of habitat conservation. In each plastic tube a hardwood tree has been planted.
In silviculture the activity is known as reforestation, or afforestation, depending on whether the area being planted has or has not recently been forested. It involves planting seedlings over an area of land where the forest has been harvested or damaged by fire, disease or human activity. Tree planting is carried out in many different parts of the world, and strategies may differ widely across nations and regions and among individual reforestation companies.
Tree planting is grounded in forest science, and if performed properly can result in the successful regeneration of a deforested area. Reforestation is the commercial logging industry’s answer to the large-scale destruction of old growth forests, but a planted forest rarely replicates the biodiversity and complexity of a natural forest.
Because trees remove carbon dioxide from the air as they grow, tree planting can be used as a geoengineering technique to remove CO
2 from the atmosphere. Desert greening projects are also motivated by improved biodiversity and reclamation of natural water systems, but also improved economic and social welfare due to an increased number of jobs in farming and forestry.
Realising the importance of forests and trees in curbing global warming, global initiatives such as the World Economic Forum’s to plant a trillion trees; and the United Nations Bonn Challenge to bring 350 million hectares of the world’s deforested and degraded land into restoration by 2030; all promote tree plantations, the study said.
Plantations of trees is important as they improve the life and fulfil essential needs of mankind. During photosynthesis, the trees breakdown food materials and consume carbon dioxide.
Resultantly with the help of sunlight, the trees produce carbohydrates. Moreover, trees support life by providing habitat to different species such as squirrels, bees and birds. Trees cleanse the climate by absorbing carbon dioxide from the environment and releasing oxygen.
The trees cool the environment through their leaves by absorbing the sun heat. Thus, there occurs cooling in the atmosphere. The trees provide shades to houses and streets.
Trees clean the air by absorbing harmful chemicals such as nitrogen oxide and removing dust particles from the air by absorbing them in their leaves. Another importance of planting trees is that they save the water from impurity.
Trees stop water pollution by breaking the direct fall of rainfall to the ground. Through trees, we make furniture and produce materials like books and papers. Trees help to relax and to reduce blood pressure. Different species of trees also relax the mood of people.
